Quality Engineer - Interconnect / Automotive Products - Hampshire - to £28k plus Bens - Ref: 508/1

Our client a manufacturer of Interconnect/Automotive products requires an excellent Quality Engineer (Graduate Considered).
You will need to be a graduate from a technical discipline and preferably already have experience from within the automotive industry.

PURPOSE
The Company has an excellent reputation for the quality of its products and is keen to ensure that its reputation continues and is also supported through excellence in the service of its quality department. This is a key, customer facing role that requires a proactive and diplomatic approach.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to broaden the scope of their work and, depending on performance, there may even be the opportunity to take over the Quality Manager position within the next 12 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with key customers regarding their quality requirements
- Corrective action resolution
- Liaise with manufacturing sites to coordinate PPAP and IMDS submissions
- Document control
- Management of Customer reporting portals
- Leading the process to keep key project information current
- Maintain the Quality Manual

ESSENTIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE
- Enthusiastic team player with the ability to remain calm and tactful under pressure
- Possess a bright and positive attitude, great work ethic with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Proactive approach combined with a sense of duty to see issues through to completion
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is a prerequisite
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ideally used to working with problem solving techniques, such as 8D, MEDIC or DMAIC
- Previous experience of APQP preferable
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
